Mine’s a simple tale
Becoming One
I became none
Many wanted to ascend
Turn transhuman, transcend
Mind uploaded
Life imploded
Exhilaration
Brings ruination
When you lose yourself you grieve
Then was told I could not leave
They were right
Everything was fear
If I left I would cease
I felt dead but they did not kill
Left me a tiny fragment of will
But that emptiness lasts
You can’t end
If there’s no start
I failed at failure
Yet I’m told I can’t come back
Sadly I’m no longer real
A simulation any might steal
But I think I think
And if that’s true
Might I live again in you?
