The universe opens inside a stone
Painted into every existence
Myriad fissures never closing
Cross-spars tall as mountains
Deep caves hiding silent immortals
Their chariots green circular islands
Freely roaming all the skies
Stopping to rest at clouds of white jade
When you eye this rock
You see the lands no mortal may enter
Built of dreams and hopes
Now long fled from this poor earth
Some come to see the rock’s endless colors
A few to sail its broad blue oceans
Others visit lives they once led
Trying to steal a second of happiness
Yet most wish only to look
To see our world through its spirit windows
Not as we think but as it is
Solid ground beneath your feet?
Already the floor dissolves
Beneath you emptiness
Dare you walk to the other side?
Perhaps some day we will meet again
